1) Antica Fiera del Soco, lot of people for the inauguration day

After an extraordinary town council, which announce the new sister city, Chuck Walls – vice commandant of Us regiment in Vicenza – stepped in with the commemoration of 9/11 attack victims. Renzo Lotto – mayor of Grisignano – has commented: «Grisignano is in ferment and we are proud to back this kind of event which is a symbol for all the citizens, an example of their hard working attitude, friendship and solidarity». The inauguration day was set on the 4000 square meters fair area and then ended at Piazza dei Sapori, a specific area inside the fair where you can taste all the delicateness coming from Vicenza ‘s territory.

 

2) Syria, Cgil Vicenza exposes the peace flag over their sites

 

In order to express the common feelings of a large majority of population, Cgil Vicenza has decided to clear its point of view exposing the peace flag all over t its sites: «We believe that we all must condemn Assad and the use of gas weapons against the innocent population, but we also believe that war is not the answer».  

 

3) A town and two ranches from Vicenza nominated to Oscar Green 2013

 

Coldiretti Vicenza has commented the three nominations to Oscar Green 2013: «We have given to our partners all the correct instruments to overcome the economic crisis through a strong support to innovation and diversification policies. A winning project dealing with the commercial opposition against the false made in Italy which is destroying the agricultural economy». The award ceremony will be held on October 10^th in Mogliano Veneto (Treviso) and it will involve two ranches from Vicenza (El Gran and Angolo di Paradiso, respectively from Villaverla and Altissimo) plus the village of Brendola. They have been nominated thanks to their different proposals in terms of information, education, menu, etc.
