1) Marano Calcio: Serie D has a new protagonist

Approaching the end of preseason, Rino Dalle Rive – Marano’s predident – spoke about the team’s aim: «The team must have my DNA, a winner’s DNA who has to play to win». After the last season promotion, Dalle Rive positively commented Real Vicenza’s and Virtus Vecomp’s passage into the higher league because it removes two of the strongest competitors, even if well prepared team such as Triestina and Pordenone could represent a stumbling block. Alberto Brischi, Marano’s general director, doesn’t general director, doesn't hide the changes compared to the last season, but he also agrees with the president, who is leading the talks to employ the striker Denis Godeas to strengthen the young base team.

2) More than 40K euros for the historic events in Vicenza and its neighborhood

The numerous associations, dealing with historical commemorations and representations, have already benefitted from the new regional laws bringing home 40 thousands euros to organize and promote their events. The new laws also envisage the creation of a regional as a direction room to improve the territory organization and the synergic between the different associations. Costantino Toniolo –a PDL regional councilor – has commented: «The allocation is an important help for all those volunteers trying to maintain our roots alive boosting, at the same time, the touristy economy».

3) New grant for Vicenza University; Rucco: use it for the university dining hall

After the latest grant of 150000 euros coming from the regional gouvernament, in favor of Fondazione degli Studi Universitari di Vicenza, Francesco Rucco – minority councilor from Lista Civica Manuela Dal Lago – has reminded how Vicenza University, in reason of its continue growth, should stay in step with the upgrading projects provided for the provincial government, spending the allocation for the university dining room adjustment.

4) Antica Fiera del Soco fights the crisis valorizing the local economy

The next Antica Fiera del Soco (September 6th-12th)in order to face the particular economic situation, has decided to strengthen its organizing network.

In collaboration with Fiera dell’Isola della Scala (Verona), it’s born the idea of a taste square: a specific area where foodstuffs producers from different parts of north Italy will be hosted to show their delicatessens – such as Nano Vialone rice from Verona, Posina cheese and Bacalà alla Vicentina cooked following the strict rules delivered by Confraternità del Bacalà). Another interesting area will be the So…Country one, where an agricultural market will be held, selling zero-km products. Concluding, some riding stables and horse ranches will be involved in a free ride session to promote their activity and celebrating this annual local fair with an equestrian show named Soccoli sotto le stelle.
